What to book
Reserve a private or seated tasting rather than relying on a quick counter tasting. Add lunch at one estate, then leave room for only one further appointment. Premium experiences are at their best when the day is not rushed.
Where to stay and route
For northern estates, base yourself around Yallingup, Dunsborough or Cowaramup. For Leeuwin, Voyager and Cape Mentelle, Margaret River town is convenient. Avoid crossing the entire region in one day; build each itinerary around a northern or southern cluster.
